Case studies
All our projects are certified by the highest available voluntary carbon standards
Large scale conservation and restoration projects are certified by Verra through its Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)- the most used standard in voluntary carbon markets worldwide. These are typically REDD+ projects, providing verified emissions reductions or avoided emissions that produce carbon credits called Verified Carbon Units (VCU).
The Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) standard is managed by Verra, and is the leading standard to document and independently certify the positive impacts of projects beyond carbon, such as stakeholder involvement and biodiversity benefits. Our Spanish projects are certified by the Spanish ministry of the environment (MITERD). All projects are publicly listed, protected by law from felling and follow the national regulations ensuring feasibility, longevity and biodiversity benefits.
As we find the best partners in Europe, we will request all our projects to be certified by the highest local standards available for certified carbon sequestration projects. The Woodland Carbon will be used in our UK projects. Our first projects in the UK and France are expected in 2021, stay tuned.
